Welsh Baccalaureate

Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification

The Welsh Baccalaureate (WBQ) is an exciting qualification for students in Wales which adds a valuable new dimension to subjects and courses. It offers a whole new approach to learning and is especially designed for the young people of Wales in the 21st Century.

Studying the Welsh Baccalaureate involves a range of learning activities including visits, discussions, activities, work experience, community activity and learning a language. It combines personal development skills with existing qualifications like A Levels, BTEC and NVQs to make one wider award valued by employers and universities.
